May every word...I really want to share another awesome song that is in Afrikaans. The lyrics are like this: Mag elke woord wat uit my mond kom wees soos heuning En mag gedagtes uit my hart wees soos die môredou Elk’ onuitgesproke woord en elke saak wat ek bedink, Mag dit aangenaam en sinvol wees voor u aangesig o Heer Want U's my God, U’s my Redder, U’s my vrede. U’s die rots waarop ek bou en waar ek skuiling vind U is my kompas, U Woord gee rigting wanneer ek verlore raak. Daarom is dit my gebed dat wat ek dink of wat ek praat Welbehaaglik voor U aangesig sal wees. In English it is as follows: May every word that comes from my mouth be like honey And may thoughts from my heart be like the morning dew Every unspoken word and every thing that I ponder May it be pleasant and sensible before Thee oh Lord Cause You're my God, You're my saviour, You're my peace You're the rock on which I build and where I find my hiding place You are my compass, Your Word gives direction whenever I get lost Therefore it is my prayer that what I think or what I speak shall be complacent before Thee Bigger than all my problemsAnother great song carries words that is so true about God. He always cares for us and is bigger than any problems we have. Sometimes we forget that. God is just so great and greatly to be praised! The song is as follows: Bigger than all my problems Bigger than all my fears God is bigger than any mountain That I can or cannot see Bigger than all my questions Bigger than anything God is bigger than mountain that I can or cannot see Bigger than all the shadows That fall across my back God is bigger than any mountain That I can or cannot see Bigger than all the confusion Bigger than anything God is bigger than any mountain That I can or cannot see Bigger than all the giants Fear and unbelief God is bigger than any mountain That I can or cannot see Bigger than all my hangups Bigger than anything God is bigger than any mountain That I can or cannot see Afrikaans song about the Lord's blessingI want to share this song with you. The lyrics is in Afrikaans, my home language, but I am going to translate it. It is such an amazing song of how the Lord blesses me! Verse: Geseend sal ek wees in die stad Geseend sal ek wees in die veld Geseend is die werk van my hande My eiendom en al my geld Geseend sal ek wees as ek uitgaan Geseend sal ek wees by die huis Net waar ek gaan sal die Here Genade aan my bewys Chorus: Want ek is nou eenmaal 'n Geseende van die Heer Saam met Jesus Christus Het Hy alles vir my gegee My ore wil nou luister Na elke woord wat Hy my leer En ek wil elke dag net wandel in Sy wee In English it is as follows: Verse: Blessed I will be in the city Blessed I will be in the field Blessed are the works of my hands My belongings and all my money Blessed I will be when I go out Blessed I will be at my home Just where I go the Lord Will show His mercy and grace to me Chorus: Cause I am once and all A blessed one of the Lord Along with Jesus Christ He gave me all My ears wants to listen To every word He teaches me I want to walk every day in His way My answer about my ChristianityThis post has to do with what I faced on EP the last week or so. Many people have a misunderstanding of Christianity. What is Christianity? Many refer to it as a religion. Just one of the many religions. Christianity is not a religion. A religion means that there are certain rituals that you have to carry out to please a deity. Christianity is rather a relationship with God. A good relationship. It means to love Him with all my heart and soul and to trust in Him that gives me strength. For He so much loved us that He gave his only Son to deliver us from eternal death. For what man has done, he has stripped himself of the glory of God and made himself shameful upon the face of the earth and under heavens. Through accepting that Jesus took one's sins upon him when He died on the cross, one is redeemed back into the glory of God. In this relationship I also make time to talk to Him and to let Him talk to me. The question that often arises by atheists is that what if there isn't a God after all? Then a Christian would be wasting his life and time? As was displayed on a bus in London: "There's probably no God. So stop worrying and enjoy your life." To me having a relationship with God is something I enjoy anyway. Nobody forces me to be a Christian. It is something I do out of own will. To me it is interesting how the word "probably" is used often in this subject field. So as if an atheist (Steve Hawking in this case) is not 100 % convinced about his thinking. Let me rather reverse the question asked. What if there is a God after all? Then I would have nothing really to lose. But for the the unbeliever I cannot say the same. He would have his eternal life to lose. Richer in Christ than any multi billionaire in the world is in earthly possesionsThis has once came into my mind (I believe from the Holy Spirit): If I kept all my possessions but lost Christ, I would have nothing. But if I lost all my possessions and keep Christ, I would have everything. Knowing and loving my Savior makes me richer than the richest people in the world. For treasures in Heaven are far more worth than any earthly treasures. Being saved and brought back into God's glory is the most valuable thing anyone can possess. Money cannot buy it, yet God still gives it to us. We are so very fortunate. To know YouI thought I would place the lyrics of "To know You" by casting Crowns on here: To know You is never worry for my life, and To know You is to never to give in or compromise To know You is to want to tell the world about You Cause I can't live without You To know You is to hear your voice when You are calling To know You is to catch my brother when he is falling To know You is to feel the pain of the broken hearted Cause they can't live with out You. More than my next breath More than life or death All reaching for, I live my life to know You more I leave it all behind, You are all that satisfies To know You is to want to know You more To know You is to want to know You more To know You is to ache for more than ordinary To know You is to look beyond the temporary To know You is believing that You will be enough Cause there is no life without You More than my next breath More than life or death All reaching for, I live my life to know You more I leave it all behind, You are all that satisfies To know you is to want to know You more To know you is to want to know You more All this life could offer me, could not compare to You Compare to You And I count it all as lost, compared to knowing You Knowing You More than my next breath More than life or death All reaching for, I live my life to know You more I leave it all behind, You are all that satisfies To know You is to want to know You more To know You is to want to know You more Compared to You Compared to You And I count it all as lost, compared to knowing You Knowing You And I count it all as lost, compared to knowing You Knowing You When times are toughDepression, loneliness, finances, family or work stress, and mental or physical health problems always takes hold of us and reduces our energy to live. It is totally pointless to try and resolve these on our own. We will be like a flag in the wind. The flag experiences a feeling of flying, but in fact isn't going anywhere. God has promised so many times before in His Word that He will take care of us. Like the perfect Father He always has outstretched arms for us. He will comfort us when we grow weary and he will give us strength to carry on. "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" He promises in Matthew 11:28. Furthermore Isaiah 40:28-31 tells us that God never grows tired. We have to remember that God is the source of all power and strength. The prophet further says that "those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall rise up on wings like eagles. They shall run and not be weary. They shall walk and not faint". God has said that "I will never leave you, and nor shall I forsake you" in Hebrews 13:5. His promise will forever hold in every situation. "I can do all things through Christ which gives me the strength", Philippians 4:13. Friends are fewIt has come to my thoughts that popularism is when you have many people in your life that like you and hang around you for your best qualities. Love is when you have people with you regardless of your faults. People should love you for who you are, despite all of your faults. It is in the darkest times that friends are few. But it is these people that have been given to us by God and we should hang onto them. With these people we can simply be ourselves without trying to impress them or hide certain things from them. A true friend is one whose love for you is unaffected if a skeleton finds its way out of your closet.
